“Bright flames in dark and restless hours, pray for us!”

 

You were born and raised, Francis and Jacinta, in a world threatened by war and pandemic. You also felt the fear of what ambiguous and troubled hours can bring, but never allowed that the shadows of uncertainty smother the gentle glow of joyful confidence in your Creator. Instead, you always transmitted to all those who surrounded you the holy Flame of hope, by which you illuminated the face of God, so that all who approached you saw Him. With your faith, you brought comfort and consolation to a world burdened with tragedy and sadness. Yes, even in the midst of times of great suffering, your lives became signs of grace, peace and happiness and your path of holiness was illuminated by the gentle light of the Holy Spirit.
